OK, I'm having daily discussions with the hosting company about the Schedules page being slow. It all started when they started changing the server hardware for the website.

Normal response times for the schedules page has always been about 3 seconds. Since the hardware was changed it is now between 18 and 30 seconds (yes, I have been counting it).

I raised a 'Ticket' against the hosting company about a week ago. The responses I've received to date have included: "It's your sites fault", or "It's the migration", or "It might be a database server problem", or worse still "there is no problem".

But I've insisted that the problem only started when they migrated to new hardware, so seems likely the fault is at their end.

I have got an alternative site at https://obedienceuk.co.uk which I use to test changes, and I've updated the schedules in line with the main site.

Please note that other data on the site maybe out of date.

This alternative site can be used for schedules until we get the main site sorted.

IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SITE SO YOU WILL NEED TO LOG IN WITH YOUR NORMAL USERNAME AND PASSWORD.

Please read the notes at the top of each page.

There is no point in telling me that the site is slow - I know!

If this goes on for much longer I will change the site to the other provider.

New - Directory of Competitive Obedience Training  (ObedienceUK) 26/3/2023 9:43:58

I've been giving some thought into providing a Directory for Clubs / Organisation offering some Obedience training.

I've put together a Wordpress site called Directory for Competitive Obedience Training (snappy title).

It's starting from fresh, but hopeful could be up and running quite quickly if people could add their details to the Directory.

I've linked it into the ObedienceUK website if you choose menu item Training > Directory of Clubs/Organisations.

I'm thinking all KC Registered Clubs plus anyone else offering 1-to-1 training, or group training. Any thoughts appreciated.

As you can imagine the ground at the venue is wet and to avoid damaging the grass we will be parking all cars on the road that surrounds the fields and on the hard-standing at the entrance, as we did at a previous show, PLEASE follow the stewards instructions and park where you are told and remember if you want to park with friends please arrive together as we won't be able to reserve spaces. if you could pass this message on we'd be grateful.

West Suffolk DTS open shows, 1st and 2nd June at World Horse Welfare, Snetterton, Norfolk - Just to let everyone know, our schedule has been reissued as there is a Special Fun Class on the Saturday for ALL to enter, which was previously missed off. It is being judged by the lovely Jo Hill so please enter and go and strut your stuff for her 😊 Our entries for the lower classes are exceptionally low at present unlike others that are saying there's are brilliant! Hopefully this is because there's a few weeks before entries close 🤞 Come on peeps, get entering, its a lovely venue with a cafe on site too. Thank you.

Sadly our Beginners judge is unable to fulfill the position .
Is there any kind soul who could offer to take the red position. Not a big class usually.

CRUFTS SCORESHEET …. You’ll be aware that I said I’m scaling back on my Crufts coverage. This included not maintaining the online scoresheets for those at home. But I’ve had some offers of help on updating the scores from Debra Lavendar, Debbie Back (from home) and Emma Lavender. I’ve put the scoresheets on the Schedules page (NOT the Crufts Scoresheet page) against the appropriate event. Just click the appropriate Scoresheet link on the appropriate day.
